Dear Captain,
I am applying for the position of \blank on the \blank. I am available immediately, holding a valid STCW 2010, ENG1, PB2, ICC (sail), Dinghy Instructor, and full UK driving licence. Seeking a full-time deckhand position, I have enclosed my CV for your consideration.
I have years of practical seamanship experience from sailing a 29ft Westerly Merlin on The Solent, part of the world's busiest shipping lane, logging 630nm last year including solo passages and inter-club racing. Additionally, I have three years experience driving hardshell outboard boats up to 8m in all weather conditions, while teaching dinghy sailing at my local sailing club.
I am committed to building a long-term career in yachting where I can progress towards a commercial OOW certificate. I am male, a non-smoker, have no tattoos, have no food allergies or dietary requirements, and I am currently based in Antibes, France.
Thank you for your consideration.
